Hello!

I'm a UX Manager who loves building teams and creating great user experiences.

About Me

I’ve had a passion for web design since I was a young adult. I remember my first site being a Yahoo Geocities page. It was incredible to see what you could do with a little code and an early version of Photoshop (it was PS5 btw).

Fast forward to 2012 when I was first introduced to the field of UX. I had already been developing websites for 10 years at that point and I was intrigued by a burgeoning field of the study on users and how they interface with technology.

For almost a decade now I have worked in UX in various roles: From a designer, to an architect, to leading a design team at Ferguson Enterprises. It’s been an incredibly rewarding experience to work directly with end-users, to solve challenging problems, and to see the fruits of my labor bring value to both the business and the customer.

When I’m not working I am spending time with the family, reading a book, learning how to rebuild an engine, or designing a random woodworking project.

My Values

Focus on the user

The problems we solve are human problems and our role as UX practitioners is to view the world through this lens. I am an advocate for a data-informed design culture where we strive to incorporate feedback and analytics to support our design decision-making every step of the way.

Be humble and never stop learning

The world of UX is vast and constantly evolving. I approach every project as an opportunity to learn something new and with a willingness to try new things and that's something I impart on my team as well.

Lead and serve

My goal as a manager is to create an environment where the best designers can do their best work. I focus heavily on improving our design practice and building other leaders. I position myself to serve the team by identifying roadblocks, removing impediments and providing direction and support where needed.
